The 2013 Young Birder of the Year contest begins now

Are you a Young Birder? Do you know a Young Birders? Hot on the heels of the recent announcement of the 2012 ABA Young Birder(s) of the Year comes the news that registration for the 2013 edition of the contest begins now!
The ABA Young Birder of the Year competition judges participants on five modules (two major and three supporting) each consisting of an important skill related to birding and bird study. Participants can win any of the modules individually, with the Young Birder of the Year winners coming from those who participate, and score highly, on multiple modules.

All young people with an interest in birds and nature are welcome to participate. So get those field notebooks out and make sure that camera battery is charges, now is a perfect time of year to get started.
