#ABArare - White-eyed Vireo - Idaho
Darren Clark and Steve Butterworth discovered a state-first (pending acceptance) White-eyed Vireo at Camas NWR near Hamer, ID on May 5. It was found about one hundred yards up the "dogleg", the road that goes north from the refuge headquarters along Camas Creek. Clark got photos that most photographers would be envious of, even if the subject was a common species and not a first state record. Other birders refound it on the morning of May 6.
Camas NWR is located NW of Hamer, west of I-15. Hamer is 32 miles north of Idaho Falls.
