#ABArare - Little Stint - California - UPDATE
The stints keep coming. Another Little Stint (Code 4) was found on July 24. This one, the fourth Little Stint I'm writing about this month(!), was found at the Elk River Mouth in Eureka, CA by Keith Slauson. To reach the Elk River Mouth, take Hilfiker Lane from Highway 101 near the south end of Eureka (map).
The stint was found around 12:45 PM, but it was not seen by birders arriving at 1:30 PM.
UPDATE: There were no subsequent reports of this bird at this location, but Robert William Hewett found a Little Stint, possibly the same individual, at the nearby Arcata Marsh on July 29.
