Birding WebExtras: July 2012

by Nate Swick

HIEL coverFor the second issue in a row the WebExtras for the latest issue of Birding magazine, graced by a beautiful and fascinating Hawai'i 'Elapaio, are published almost entirely here on the ABA Blog

We're thinking of it sort of like an electronic Table of Contents, where you can find all the supplemental content, including a stream of consciousness piece on digital photography by Steve Howell, some greenbirding stats by Scott Smithson, and the still simmering discussion on the merits of including Hawaii (and St. Pierre et Miquelon and the Bahamas and Attu and Mexico) in our beloved ABA Area by ABA prez Jeff Gordon.

All that plus Rick Wright's thoughts on e-researching old ornithological records and some addition photos of those amazing 'elepaios.  I think you'll find the online content enhances and deepens what you find in the magazine.

And of course it goes the other way too.  If the free online content has you wondering what the print magazine has to offer, why don't you go ahead and join the ABA?

You'll have Birding and Winging It in your mailbox alternating months and the confidence that you're part of the premier organization for birders in Canada and the United States.  All for the price of a tank of gas!

So if you enjoy this fabulous online content, please join us!
