ABA First Lady and full-time volunteer Liz Gordon shares her binoculars and the joy of watching a family of Prairie Falcons fly along the rock faces at Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, CO

There's been a very interesting and productive conversation, actually several conversations, going on on the ABA Facebook Group Page recently. There's a lot to be said and a lot to be worked out, regarding the future of the ABA. But sometimes, a picture really is worth a great big pile of words.

So I wanted to share this photo I took last night of Liz helping a visitor at the Garden of the Gods enjoy the antics of a recently fledged brood of Prairie Falcons test their wings along the spectacular red rock faces of Garden of the Gods. Yes, the ABA should always be about the frontiers of identification. Yes, it should always be about listing and the sporting aspects of birding. But it should also be about sharing the passion, hobby, avocation, and sport that has given us all so much.
